Eric Paul Totten recently earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas. He received his M.A. and B.A. in History from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Totten has previously taught as an instructor and lecturer for Northwest Arkansas Community College, the University of Arkansas, and the University of the Ozarks. Dr. Totten specializes in Civil War era history, and his research focuses on the relationship between northern communities on the home front and their volunteer units on the battlefront during the American Civil War. His teaching interests include colonial, antebellum, and Civil War America, world military history, and curriculum development.
